Counseling sessions are direct opportunities to explore thoughts, feelings, and/or behaviors in a therapeutic milieu to build new skills such as coping strategies, problem-solving, executive functioning, or friendship skills. As a clinician, I prefer that the majority of counseling sessions take place in-person. I can offer some virtual sessions if and when it is more convenient or comfortable. I do ask that the first few sessions be in-person as that facilitates that best rapport building opportunity. Fees for counseling sessions are available on a sliding scale.
